Constructing a Rocket

Construction demonstrations and a grading rubric based on distance traveled will be posted in class on Wednesday, August 24th. You will have 1 additional week to upgrade your project for full credit if turned in on time. Accepted 1 day late (- 2pts). No new projects will be accepted after Friday September 2nd. Sept. 9 is the last day to re-test your rocket for final grade (lunch time only).

Please see December's homework section for details. 2 -3 pages. 5 to 7 paragraphs. A rubric on grading will be given in class on Friday, December 12th. We will work on this assignment periodically in class from December 7th to 17th. Computers will be available if you have a flash drive. Your final draft typed paper is due on Friday, December 18th. Your paper will be graded and return to you on January 21st with corrections. You will until Tuesday, February 2nd week to correct your mistakes and rewrite report for full credit.
Extra Credit (1 point for Cover page, 1 point for extra reference with documentation)

First part of the Atom Project will be presented on Monday, March 7. Choosing an element and Making a brochure pertaining to one Element. Due on Thursday, March 10. 10 points.
A rubric on grading and brochure guidelines will be given in class on Monday, March 7. The brochure will be due on Thursday, March 10.
Second part: Flat sketch of chosen atom with key and a paragraph that explains how the different colors represent the atom. Due On Thursday, March 17. 5 points. Save your paragraph on a flash drive. You will need to attach this paragraph to your atom model.
A rubric on grading the Atom Model will be given on Wednesday, March 16. The Atom model will be due on Tuesday, March 29. One day late (-5%). Must have key and paragraph that explains how the different colors represent the atom. 20 points.
Please remember that your paragraph can be the same or very similar to one that you wrote for your flat sketch that was due on Thursday, March 17.
This project is to be perform over the Easter Holidays.
